On Thursday, January 17, 2008, Greg Wilkinson, Eddie Carrera and Rafael Orduno were selected as the Arizona APCO-NENA Public Safety Technical Team of the Year.

The award was presented during the Opening Ceremonies for the AZ APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials)-NENA (National Emergency Number Association) State Training Conference held January16-18, 2008 in Ahwatukee, AZ. The Arizona APCO-NENA chapter is comprised of Telecommunications Professionals from public safety agencies across the state, as well as those who provide products and services related to public safety emergency systems.

The nomination recognized Greg, Eddie and Rafael for their outstanding and unparalleled work on the Yuma Regional Communications System, and their unfailing technical support of the City of Yuma Public Safety Communications Center.
