Attempted Homicide/Armed Robbery - 100 Block of S. 9th Avenue

On Friday, March 1, 2013 at about 8:19 pm, Yuma Police Officers responded to a report of an Armed Robbery with shots fired in the 100 block of S. 9th Avenue. On arrival, officers found two victims with minor gunshot wounds.
The victims described being approached from behind by two Hispanic males in the 600 block of W. 2nd Street. The suspects demanded money and their wallets and then shot at both victims causing minor injuries. Both transported to YRMC for treatment of minor gunshot wounds.
The suspects were described as two Hispanic males, 20-25 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches and of thin build. Both were wearing dark colored sweatshirts with hoods and blue jeans. The suspect with the gun was light skinned, wore a dark colored hat and had a thin goatee. Both suspects fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
