Approximately eighteen months ago, the Yuma Police Department received a report of a continuous theft of city services by a local business.

The investigation revealed Diamond Brooks Water, 3025 South Avenue 4E had unlawfully tapped into a City of Yuma water line. The business would then process the water and sell it back to the public. The theft of water over the course of this investigation is approximately 74 million gallons, which equates to a loss of over $168,000.

The Yuma Police Department asked the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation for assistance.

Today, federal agents served search warrants on the owner of Diamond Brooks Water, Philip Clark, 48 years old of Yuma. The warrants were served at Mr. Clark's home and business, however he was not taken into custody as the case remains under investigation.

Any questions in reference to this case should be directed to IRS Special Agent Brian Watson at (520) 205-5116.
