Yuma Man Arrested After Climbing on Business Roof

On Monday, July 02, 2012, at 10:09 am, the Yuma Police Department responded to a suspicious subject near the rear of a business at the Yuma Mesa Shopping Center in the 1600 block South 4th Avenue.
Officers contacted Christopher Tortorici, 31 years old in a large tree near the businesses. He was uncooperative and climbed onto the roof of the businesses, where he attempted to evade officers.
Tortorici was taken into custody and removed from the roof with the assistance of the Yuma Fire Department. He was transported to the Yuma Regional Medical Center for precaution.
Tortorici faces charges of criminal trespass, criminal nuisance, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, possession of a dangerous drug and drug paraphernalia.
