Yuma, Arizona - A planned network outage at City Hall this Monday (Feb. 8) will affect all automated City services between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Please note that Public safety functions and services will NOT be affected by this outage. This means that 911 emergency services and other access to the Yuma Police Department and Yuma Fire Department will be available.

Affected Services

The following services will be affected between 7 p.m. and 11p.m. on Monday.

Access to:

  • Online bill pay for City services.
  • Desert Hills tee time reservation and other Parks and Recreation event scheduling and reservation services.
  • NeoGov (City employment site).
  • City web site and streaming media site.
  • City automated telephone system, so citizens will not be able to pay their utility bills or access the automated citizen information system via telephone.
  • City voice mail system.

Incoming e-mail will be captured during the outage, but will not be distributed to the intended destination until after the outage has been lifted.

The network outage is necessary in order to perform needed maintenance on the battery backup system that provides uninterrupted power to the City Hall Data Center, said Chris Wood, Network Engineer for the City of Yuma
