Injury Traffic Collision On 4th Avenue

Summary:

On Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, at about 1500 hrs, Yuma Police Department personnel responded to the 501 S. 4th Avenue, the Mr. G’s Restaurant parking lot, for a report of an injury traffic collision.

On Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, at about 1500 hrs, Yuma Police Department personnel responded to the 501 S. 4th Avenue, the Mr. G’s Restaurant parking lot, for a report of an injury traffic collision.

Preliminary investigation shows a white four door passenger car struck a juvenile who was riding a bicycle in the area.  After striking the juvenile and bike the driver of the vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The driver is described as an older female, unknown race of the driver.  Blood was also allegedly seen on the vehicle as it fled the scene.
