Injury Collision at 16th Street and 31st Drive

On Monday, November 18, 2013, at about 7:26 a.m., Yuma Police Department Officers went to the area of 16th Street and 31st Drive for a report of a collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 24 year old male, driving a 2007 gray Chevy Silverado pick-up traveling westbound on 16th Street and a 29 year old male driving a 1996 white Honda Accord attempting to turn left onto 31st Drive, collided in the intersection.

Both drivers were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. A 9 year old male passenger in the Honda Accord was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and later flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital with serious injuries.

The collision is under investigation.
