Description

The 2008 Sandshark program will run from June 9 through July 31 and will include dual and invitational competitions.  Initial practice groupings will be determined Monday, June 9. If you miss practice on the 9th, please arrive by 3:45 PM and you will be assigned to the proper practice group.

Swimmers will be assigned to a 1 hour and 15 minute practice, a 1 hour practice, or a 45 minute practice based upon their age and ability. The Sandsharks are a great way to become involved in competitive swimming in Yuma. Swimmers will learn all the competitive strokes, stay in shape, and make new friends! What a great way to spend a summer!

Registration & Admission

Children 4 to 18 years of age, that can swim 25 yards, may participate. If you are not registered, download and print the registration form (below).  Take the form and a check for $125 to Marcus Pool, 6th Avenue and 5th Street between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Make check payable to Yuma Heat.  Admission is based on slots available.

The program fee is $125 and includes IVSL membership/insurance and a Sandshark Team T-shirt. Team suits, cap, and goggles will be available through the team at a discounted price. Weekend invitationals and the IVSL Championship meet, which are optional, require an entry fee (generally $15 to $20).
