C’mon! Join the fun at this private pool party exclusive to you and your families! Make sure to bring a large salad to share for lunch and to win the tasting contest!

The Valley Aquatic Center will be closed to the public, for a morning of swimming, meeting friends, music, and lunch. This is a fun social and family event as we welcome and invite area families with special needs children or adults to join in the fun. The leisure pool offers a water slide, zero depth entry pool, play equipment, splash buckets, and inter-active splash pad. After swimming, head into the Aquarium Room for a refreshing "cool" lunch, made up of salads. Each person will get a chance to vote for their favorite salad. We will provide drinks and tableware.

This program is intended for individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities and their accompanying friends or family. The purpose of the program is for learning, socialization, and skill development. In order to provide a successful experience, we invite you to e-mail Marilyn Lammel or call her at (928) 373-5243 to discuss any reasonable accommodations needed at least two weeks before the class is scheduled to begin. If you need a sign language interpreter, we request at least 72 hours notice.

Yuma Parks and Recreation welcomes individuals with disabilities into any programs and activities offered in the Parks & Recreation Activities Guide.

Admission

This event is intended for all ages, but adults must stay with children under 13. The fee for this program is $2 per person at the door (cash), plus a salad to share for lunch.
