The City participates in the Yuma Training Alliance Series, a public & private sector collaboration for individual, organization, and community development. In December 1996, after an inspiring presentation by a nationally known diversity expert, several audience members entered into an informal partnership to share training resources and to help bring additional top speakers to Yuma to assist in employee development. The alliance is open to any organization. (http://www.agts.org/)

Training is provided by in-house training staff, or working with subject matter experts from the appropriate fields. Departments also provide additional job-specific training. The City has an extensive resource library on a variety of business and development topics, both in hard copy and video.
