The Communications and Public Affairs team leads the City of Yuma’s International Relations efforts, coordinating our relationships with our Sister Cities of San Luis, Sonora, and Mexicali, Baja California in Mexico, Slubice, Poland, and Frankfort Oder, Germany.
The City of Yuma has taken an active role in enhancing the relationships between the City of Yuma and the Cities of San Luis and Mexicali, as well as the City of Sinaloa in Mexico with continuous communication between the two countries. Because our economies are interdependent, we have worked closely on joint projects such as the new Port of Entry in San Luis, Sonora, agricultural exchanges with Sinaloa, and enhanced tourism with the cities in Baja California. For more information on the City's International Relations, email Martha Guzman or call her at (928) 373-5016.
